I love being able to set and forget my automated flows. When people are put in my email list they are automatically sent months worth of content and engagements
The UI can be buggy at times and the text formatting can show up differently sometimes in the final sent email than how it shows in the previews so make sure you test send each email
We are a lean small team so the automations have made it super easy to have an impactful Email marketing program for our brand without needing to hire more resources
Lots of functionality and I like the pricing schemes so that you're not paying too much when you're just starting out.
The analytics are incredibly confusing. I'm an ex-investment banker and worked with many analytic reports, and even I'M confused by Klaviyo's report builder. The campaigns page should also show the subject line and preview text directly in each campaign so I can easily see which subject lines for the highest open rates without having to download a report. Finally, the email content creator could be improved to allow for more functionality, like Flodesk and Canva. I would also love to see a larger template library that I can use as a starting block for my emails (I know they have an ideas library but I can't pull those emails in and edit them to create my own)
Klaviyo helps me reach my clients in an age where organic social media reach is getting more and more difficult. I've seen a huge increase in sales, especially from return customers
I most like the ability to create and manage lists very easily.
My least favorite part of Klaviyo is the email editing features. Creating different campaigns within Klaviyo is not easy or user-friendly.
With Klaviyo, we can easily see who opened the email and create segments based on this feedback to target specific customers.
Good UX, drag and drop email editor and templates, responsive and knowledgable support, and genuinely seem to be continuously improving.
Some of the integrations with other platforms are a bit clunky, but there's probably a limit to what Klaviyo can do on their end with some of those.

I love how easy it is to set up each campaign and flow. It's very beginner friendly.
The plans are super confusing. I'm not sure when to upgrade or when my emails from my flows will stop. Apparently flows still work after you are past your limit. I wish there was more clarification.
I'm getting a more friendly email solution for my ecom store. It's great at maximizing the potential of each customer. It has helped my business grow.
The builder is very easy to use and super flexible.
Live chat is helpful but there are LONG wait times. For larger support issues it's very hard to get face time with an expert. Their onboarding team for larger enterprise clients is good.
Great retargeting automations. A FAR better option for smaller businesses than Mailchimp and flexible and sophisticated enough for enterprise-level retail. We've realized significant YoY revenue gains for many clients.
Great mix of features. Excellent email design & template tools. Good integration with ecommerce platforms - we use Magento 2. Excellent automation tools. We also love hwo we can automatically export audiience to a linked facebook advertsiing accounts.
The only downside is the price. Also can be a bit annoying that you can't change part of a template and for it to be updated across all flow content

Klaviyo allows you to segment users and create different email lists for whichever purpose you may need. It's also very easy to build nice, professional emails with their platform (plus not very expensive).

Emails don't look as polished as they could be. Coupon creation can be confusing and buggy. Limited ability to choose fonts, kerning often looks weird.

It is hard to integrate with mixpanel, which we use for in-app tracking, in order to make smarter segments

Pulling reports are very easy and they offer lots of data that some ESPs do not.
Personalization could use some help as well as dynamic product blocks.

I love the drip flows on Klaviyo, and how seamless this is. Before working on this platform we were primarily utilizing mailchimp, and I think Klaviyo blows it out of the water.
I think at the core the UI can be a bit off, and I would still prefer to using custom templates versus their placeholder tools.
We wanted to expand our automatic drip flows, while still exploring better integrations with our current tech stack. Klaviyo has a fantastic community for that.
Klaviyo allowed us to take our email marketing to the next level. It’s a great tool to set up email marketing campaigns and automated email flows. Their advanced segmentation and analytics tools have been very helpful as well.
My least favorite feature is the html email builder. It doesn’t auto save, and you have to scroll to the top of the page in order to save emails that you are working on. It would be helpful to have a floating “save” button or an auto-save feature to avoid situations in which you forget to save and lose all progress on your email html.
Klaviyo gives us more freedom to customize our emails and build out beautiful email templates.
