Through Woocommerce I am able to list my products on my website page with their cost and customize them to my own preference.

I dislike the cost that Woocommrce comes with, its a bit expensive.

The issues of displaying products on the website and letting customers shop from my page easily has been solved by Woocommerce. It is beneficial since I am able to keep track of my products to know what is out of stock and what has been purchased.

I love that it's free but has TONS of functionality. A lot of people are now on Shopify when it comes to selling online, and they do a lot but they do it all for you and charge tons. But with WooCommerce, you have to put everything together yourself and pick and choose what functionality you want, but it's free. And there are some paid plugins that add tons more functionality, but only if you want it and it's often a one-time payment. It's not incredibly difficult to learn how it works and how to use it with ease, but it's not for everyone. In any case, if you aren't in a position to afford Shopify's fees, or if you are but have some experience with designing websites, this is a great alternative.

Not every function is available in one place. If you want a piece of basic online shop design, you have to know exactly what you're looking for to find a compatible plugin. It's not all in one package. And it doesn't look as clean or have as much customizability (design-wise) as services like Shopify.

You can teach yourself very easily the basics of setting up products, attributes, etc. and it is easy to create items and manage as well.

When it comes to navigating what pages or sections of the website your are moving and editing it gets very confusing. There is alot of trial and error and unless you are experienced with using these types of platforms it is easy to mess up your work. Also the checkout process was horrendous at first and had multiple issues. The problem was solved eventually but it shouldnt be that hard to set up checkout.

Woocommerce helps give the business a more professional and polished look. It definitely showcases our products in a better light.

It gives you a basic shopping cart right out of the box Free for basic WooCommerce, so it is a cheap solution for those just dipping a toe into E-commerce. Allows you to expand functionality through plug-ins and expansions. Integrates really well with WordPress sites.

Basic functions are great, but the feature sets are limited requiring serious e-commerce users to purchase several add-ons.

What I like best about WooCommerce is that it has a host of features that customer expect and they're free (out of the box) . Features like Variable pricing, Advanced tabs to display more item-specific context about a product or service. The interface is easy to use and doesn't require a lot of guess work.

Costly plugin enhancements and slow support response. As a web-developer and a css designer in Saint Louis, my customers have always been a "Show Me" experience and expect quick-response times when working on a project. With WooCommerce - You can't deliver on expectation that showing them it works (bug free) and that resolving conflicting bugs (theme or non-woo plugin related) in the code will be fast. Its just not possible when WooComm support team takes 24-48 hours just to tell you they want more info that they didn't mention the first round of discussions. It causes heartburn.

Product options can easily be applied and there is also ways to keep your product list up to date with a spreadsheet from your vendor. We can completely customize the whole experience to suit your business needs. The WC integration options and capabilities allow you to build a rich online sales solution.

Not much to dislike, but it's worth it for the most part and can improve in some areas. Be aware of the theme that you use and how it is updated when the over WC software is updated. Many themes do not work well after some updates.

Be sure to do some research to make sure that it will handle all the customizing you want. WooCommerce can be pretty easy to use for those who don't know too much about CMS and online shopping platforms.

Very easy to put together a well functioning online store with a reasonable amount of SKUs. Most themes support direct integration, and you can create product variants (configurable products). Great for small time shops that want full control of their store.

Do not recommend for high quantity product catalogs. Add-ons are expensive. There are usually better options available.

I am no longer using WooCommerce as we outgrew the store and migrated to a more capable shopping cart framework.

It is super versatile and can be used for nearly any situation. It has options for specialized shipping, variable options, coupons, you name it, woocommerce can do it!

It is difficult to use. An average consumer, or hobbyist would not be able to implement woocommerace without assistance. Be prepared to troubleshoot.

There's basically no scenario, from running 5 e-commerce stores with varying levels of complexity in the products, that I haven't been able to successfully execute with Woocommerce (plus a handful of Woocommerce extensions of course). It's possible to set-up a fully functional store at no cost, though most will probably want at least a few plug-ins/extensions to make things sing and dance.

It takes a lot of work to get Woocommerce's own themes to look any bit all like they do in the previews they provide. Newer plug-ins generally aren't tested extremely well.

Our first use of Woocommerce was building an ecommerce site for our monogram jewelry line. Lots of options from the initials for the jewely, 60+ color and pattern options, chain length options, etc. Woocommerce was able to handle all the tiered levels of variations right out of the box. All other options we found would have required custom coding or advanced upgrades to achieve those options at that time.
